The Dark Jumper Rises

Hola everyone!
Excuse the stupid title... or don't. Yesterday we went to watch The Dark Knight Rises - it was really cool! But not as cool as The Avengers ;-) So looking forward to the next 2-3 years, when more Marvel movies will come out, especially Iron Man 3 next May. YAY! Who's a fan as well?

On to the outfit: I have been wanting to wear this black jumper in summer for ages, so when it cooled down yesterday I knew what to wear immediately. It's by Horace, but I got it on Asos a couple of years ago. But as you can see its a bit damaged already, it's really easy to get caught in things like door handles. Yes really...

Have you got an easily damageable garment which you love and won't part with?

Shoe Friday #60

Wohoo, it's the 60th Shoe Friday! I didn't know that when I was searching for a nice pair of shoes to show you. And because I found three super awesome glitter heels, I thought I'd show them, no matter what. And then it turned out that it was a celebratory number... ahh, love things like that :-)

Right, the first shoes are by platform queen Charlotte Olympia who stand out with their multicoloured glitter. A superb combination!
The second pair, gold glitter t-bar heels by shoe architect Nicholas Kirkwood, might seem familiar to you. And yeah, you're right, I blogged about their colourful glitter twin about a month ago.
And check out these guys here! So dressed up with a cape! It does look like one, doesn't it? Made to wear with Stella McCartney's suits.
That was today's shoe feast. Hope you enjoyed it as much as I did :-)
Have a good weekend everyone!

Perfume Stories

My favourite fragrance has always been Fuel For Life by Diesel. I'm on my second 75ml bottle at the moment but after the last drop has been used I want to get a new perfume for a change. Yesterday I browsed a perfume shop and smelt Prada's new perfume Candy. I love its super sweet caramel smell. It's so strong, but for a person like me who loves anything sugary and sweet, it's perfect.

Apart from the Diesel fragrance, I also adore (!!) Hot by Ralph Lauren. It's pretty much one of the best perfumes for summer nights. Its coconut smell is just beyond awesome. Ahh, I love coconut....

And then there are some other perfumes I use as well but we'll talk about these ones another time.

Have you smelled Prada's Candy yet? And what perfume do you use most?

This Is How I Roll #2

Remember this post? Today's is the sequel of it - rolling up sleeves is like a new found hobby for me. This outfit is also a more summery version of this one here. Like a progression, development, whatever.
It's also the first time I wore my new Aztec belt which I got for £9 at Urban Outfitter's sale. Nice one.
I'm easily sporting pink rainbows and stars on my shoulders, got this jacket when I was twelve after all. Yes, twelve.
And one in your face photograph to show you my make up. Blue eyeliner and shimmery light yellow eyeshadow in the corners to "brighten your eyes" like the professionals love to say. Also, here's the pink lipstick I was talking about yesterday, the one from Lush, called Glamorous.

Emotional Brilliance At Lush

After yesterday's stroll around the MQ, I continued my walk on the Mariahilferstraße, a shopping street like Oxford Street but much less big and less cool ;-)
Just as I went out of the MQ, I saw some pretty nice window displays, both belonging to the same shop.
Really like the ducks in the bubbles, so cute! And the colours are awesome as well :-)
After visiting some other stores, I popped into Lush. Just love it there; the colours, the smell and products are fantastic. Yesterday they launched a make-up range which focuses on colourful liquid lipsticks, eyeliners, and creamy eyeshadows. In total they have 30 colours and even launched one mascara with only one preservative.
The bottles look really nice, kind of like medicine bottles haha. But their pop of colour makes them less serious and much more fun.
A lady in the shop urged me to "spin the colour wheel" (which you can do here) and do a colour reading which would describe my emotional state in this very moment (each of the make up colours stands for an emotion after all). It's really fun that Lush make a game out of their products and have fun with them instead of being super serious about them. But hey, that's Lush after all ;-)
After the colour reading, I tried out a lipstick, Glamorous. It's a really strong shade, so I needed only a bit. I guess you can layer it up if you want even bolder lips. In tomorrow's outfit post, you'll see how it looked.

I also tried one green eyeliner on my hand, it was either Intuitive or Healthy (I think it was the latter) and the eyeshadow Happiness. Everything was really smooth and creamy and had a great texture - just like regular eye make up. Also, the brush of the eyeliners is really thin, so you can draw a precise line.

What I like about trying out the make up products, is that the Lush staff give you your own applicators to try out the lip and eye products. That's so much more hygienic than in drug stores!
That's the applicators they use. One for the lips and eyeshadows and the other one for eyeliners. I'll be using the eyeliner one for some nail design! Hopefully it'll work!

Check out all the 30 colours here. Every eyeshadow, eyeliner and lipstick is yours for £14.50 and the mascara is a bit cheaper with £12.00.

What's your favourite?

Blogger Flea Market At The MQ

I figured I could take the camera with me more often this summer to show you a bit more of what I'm doing. So today I took my small digital camera with me as it's obviously more practical and less heavy. Let's start!
I went to Vienna's Museumsquartier, a really great place filled with cafes, restaurants and most importantly, museums and galleries. Young and old people regularly visit the MQ and enjoy the relaxed and creative atmosphere. The place is great for meeting friends, people-watching or strolling around like I did today. I went there mainly for the Fashion Blogger Fleamarket, which was on today from 11am to 7pm.
The red and purple pathway that you see below is actually a runway for a coming up fashion show. Maybe for September's Vienna Fashion Week? That would be possible as the event will be held at the MQ and currently it's the Summer Of Fashion at there so they might use it for other fashion events as well.
A small preview of tomorrow's outfit post. Yay!
That's the Museum Of Modern Art.
Haha, the children (and even adults) had a lot of fun running on the catwalk! It was so much fun watching them :D
The Bloggers sold many things, from nail polishes... make up and accessories...
...and regular unwanted clothes... shoes. Like on a normal fleamarket obviously.
Here someone sold tie dye thights and wisdom tooth jewelry. I don't think they were real (well, I hope so).
Here we have one of the many Vöslauer wagons that were driven around with bicycles. They promoted their new drinks; always love when they give you free food or drinks to try out! The last time I bumped into promoters, they gave us some yummy Oykos yogurt on Oxford Street. Mmmh!
That's the one I chose! It was good, even though I normally don't like fizzy drinks. So refreshing :-)
I thought the blogger flea market wasn't that great but maybe I arrived too late and all the goodies were already gone. But it was cool seeing some Austrian bloggers, something quite new for me, haha. I didn't go there for the purpose of buying something anyway, just wanted to observe. Does this sound creepy?
But of course being in the MQ, drinking your Vöslauer and watching people out and about is just fantastic. Lean back, watch and relax.
