Summer's Beauty Kit

Guess what; I'm back! After nearly four weeks of nothingness I finally found the time to blog again. What kept me busy was interning; Elle, Asos magazine, InStyle and Vogue were the magazines I worked at during the past months. It was amazing but now I'm happy to be able to relax. I can tell you more about tmy interning experiences another time.

Today I wanted to share with you my favourite five summer beauty products. I find this sounds kinda cheesy as everyone's doing it. To make things a bit different, I created a cool playful GIF.
The first product to come out of my pretty new toilet bag by Jenny Packham for Lancome is The Bodyshop's Honey Bronze Shimmering Dry Oil. As a sucker for anything that glitters, I really like the subtle shimmer effect the dry oil provides. Imagine that on tanned skin - a summer dream!

The next goody is called Smoothed, Sealed & Sensational No Oil, Oil (for thick hair) by Percy & Reed London. I have no idea why it's called no oil oil as obviously it is an oil. Two drops are enough to make your hair super soft. Running fingers through my hair has become a new routine...

I'm sure most of you know all about Benefit's Benetint which is a lip and cheek stain. I like layering it on my lips, going from a subtle red colour to a super bold lip. It stays on really long too.

One thing I've always loved putting on my eyes is bronze eyeliner. It's not as in your face as black eyeliner but still makes an impact. It also works really well with my green and brown eyes. Currently I'm using the Longlasting Eye Pencil in shade 03 Let's Dance by Essence. I got it on eBay as I couldn't find it in stores anymore. The best thing is that I only apply it once and then it stays on all day.

And my last "summer essential" is Model's Own's Pink Paradise - a pink glitter nail polish with huge glittery flakes. It's amazing! It's currently on my nails and I will be wearing it the whole summer (I'm not only saying that; I brought only one nail polish with me for the summer holidays - new record!). I've got the whole Models Own Splash Box set with all five glitter polishes. Imagine what'll happen when you layer all of them - glitter bonanza!! Remember last year when I tried to find the perfect glitter nail polish? I think I've found it...

Have you tried out any of these products? Which one's your fave?

Beach In The East

Yesterday I went to the beach. Not your usual one though. Instead of sea and sand there was an empty pool and carefully selected clothes, shoes and accessories. Beach In The East is a pop up shop based in Shoreditch which will stay open until August 24.

Once you're down the stairs and past the sign which reads "We Got Cake" you step inside a small pool (which is the size of a huge walk-in wardrobe if you're one of the luckier people among us) filled with garments exuding a cooler attitude than a son of a rock star. There's no cake but plenty of stuff to make up for it. Inspired by The Z Boys, California skateboarders of the 70s, retail consultant and brains behind the project, Yasmin Sewell persuaded brands like Acne, Joe Duke and Sophia Webster to create exclusive items for the shop. The entire store is a dream come true for those of us who are fantasising of sunny festivals and baking hot summer nights (so that'll be the whole of London then). If you fancy getting your summer outfit sorted, look no further, Beach In The East has your carelessly casual costume sorted. And if you're still thinking of that non-existent cake, don't fret; there's Vita Coco and Fiji Water as a goodbye present. Now that sounds even better.
